Increasing Web Traffic To My Blog…

My Alexa ranking continues to improve, 13,000 positions since last posting.

I will attempt to build 40-50 quality backlinks, over the next 2-3 weeks, linking to high PR (5-9) websites. During this process, I will be submitting 15 backlinks manually (to fully understand the process) and 35 backlinks using an auto submission software package, and compiling comparative data.  I will also be testing a “Backlink Booster”, to verify or bust the software developers claims of boosting backlink effectiveness by 2000%. I will be posting my results and findings in this blog.

As taught by Alex Jeffery’s, backlinks are crucial in traffic-building  for website or blog owners. Use them properly and be diligent, when it comes to who links back to you. The benefits of backlinks are “evergreen” , as coined by Alex Jeffery’s. Alex, a great week of coaching.

I am happy to report that my blog had indexed 30,000 positions (in one day) in the Alexa rankings. I’m still a long ways from a page one ranking in my niche however, this is encouraging.

My blog visits are a little slow however, that should increase once I make a presence in forums, blogs, and my articles start to generate the backlinks that I am hoping for. I’ll just have to keep on sticking to my game plan to generate the traffic needed to index my blog site and increase the number of visitors.

I am still struggling with the dynamics of monetizing websites. I am not satisfied with just placing an affiliate banner or  link on a website, and hoping that someone clicks on it. I need to also understand, in depth, the psychological  piece associated with monetizing. I hope that I am not complicating a simplistic process.

Hopefully someone will say or do something that will resonate with me. And I can apply it to my marketing efforts and pass it on to someone who is in the boat that I am in.

Well it’s day 2 and it’s been quiet on the blog home front. I’ve decided to place a “PS” link, on my adswap adcopy, to hopefully generate some visits to my blog. I’ve also set up a footer ad, on my blog, to promote the “Profit Pulling Platform” that was given to MWA 3.0 students.

I’m very anxious to see how these strategies will affect my Alexa ranking. For those of you who do not have the Alexa Toolbar installed on your browser, I would strongly suggest that you do so immediately.
